When do you start using a duvet?

There's a suitable duvet size for every bed size. From the age of 2, your child can sleep safely and responsibly under a duvet. If your child is 2, they'll sleep in a crib or have just transitioned to a bigger bed, such as a toddler bed. Until a duvet is used, the bed can be made with a sheet and blanket, or your child can sleep in a sleeping bag. It's not recommended to use a duvet for your baby because it's not safe for young children. A duvet is too warm, can't be tucked in securely, and your child can easily get their head stuck under the duvet. From the age of 2, your child is big enough to sleep under a duvet.

How do you choose a suitable duvet for a toddler bed or child's bed?

When choosing a duvet for your child, it's important to ensure the size is appropriate for the bed. So, first check the dimensions of the toddler bed or child's bed and choose a suitable duvet. 

You can choose between a standard duvet and an all-season duvet. An all-season duvet can be used year-round because it consists of two separate parts. One part is a summer duvet, the other is for spring and autumn. By combining these two parts, you have a wonderfully warm winter duvet! With this duvet, you're prepared for any temperature and can easily adapt to the seasons. 

The standard size for a toddler duvet is 120 x 150 cm. The standard size for a single bed, such as a child's bed or teen bed, is 140 x 200 cm.
