A safe and secure sleeping space for your little one 

A crib is ideal for creating a safe and secure sleeping space for your child. The great thing about this type of crib is that the sides have open slats. This gives your child plenty of room to move around and prevents breathing problems if they end up against the side while turning. This also provides optimal ventilation and ensures you can see your baby clearly. Make the crib cozy with a crib sheet and blanket, and it instantly looks very cozy!

Transitioning from a bassinet to a crib

A baby can sleep in a crib from birth. However, we understand that you might find this a bit too big for a newborn. A bassinet can be a great solution for your little one's first few months. A bassinet is much smaller than a crib and can easily be placed in your own bedroom. This way, your child is still close by, and you can easily grab them at night for feeding or comforting. When you and your baby are ready, you can make the transition to a crib. This transition is often made after 3 months. From this age, your baby will become increasingly active, and the crib offers plenty of room for them to move around.

A safe crib with an adjustable base

A crib can almost always be adjusted to different heights thanks to its adjustable base. When your baby is still very small and can only lie down, the crib is set at the highest position. This way, you can easily pick up your child without having to bend over. When your baby is a bit older and can pull themselves up, sit, or stand, the crib base can be lowered. This prevents your little one from climbing out of the crib on their own. With a crib with an adjustable base, you always have a safe place for your child to sleep!

How do you choose the right bed for your little one?

When choosing a crib for your baby, you have two sizes to choose from: 

• 60 x 120 cm
• 70 x 140 cm 

The standard size of a baby crib is 60 x 120 cm. This crib is suitable from birth to 2.5 years of age. Once your child has outgrown this bed, you can switch to a toddler bed or a single bed. The advantage of a toddler bed is that the transition from a crib to a big bed is somewhat easier. The advantage of a single bed is that it lasts longer. 

To avoid the dilemma of choosing a toddler bed or a single bed, you can also opt for an convertible crib. A convertible crib measures 70 x 140 cm. It's an ideal option because it's durable and can be converted from a crib to a toddler bed. So you essentially have two in one! The crib's bars are removed on one side, allowing your child to get in and out of bed independently. Your little one can stay in the crib this way until they are 5 years old. Once your child has outgrown this bed, you can purchase a single crib.

The crib in the nursery

You and your baby spend a lot of time together in the nursery. It's a place to sleep, but also to change, care for, and dress your baby, and to comfort them when needed. Make sure you decorate the space in a way that makes you feel comfortable! Do you prefer neutral colors and a calming atmosphere? Choose a neutral crib. A crib in a neutral color creates a relaxed atmosphere, exactly what you want for your little one! To personalize the room and add some unique touches, you can choose colorful accessories. For example, you could hang a beautiful mosquito net above the crib or a playpen mobile that plays a sweet lullaby.
