Buying a bassinet

Are you working on your baby checklist and thinking about buying a crib? A bassinet is a real must-have! We recommend purchasing all your baby supplies no more than two months in advance so you don't have to worry about it. Buying the right bassinet is therefore very important. Bassinet

During the first few months, it's important for your baby to settle down. A bassinet gives your baby a sense of security and keeps them close to you. Thanks to the often wider bars, you can keep an eye on your child at all times, ensuring optimal ventilation.

Co-sleeper

In the first few months, you'll still be feeding a lot at night. It's nice to be able to feed your little one effortlessly. Then the co-sleeper is the perfect option! This is a bedside crib. It slides next to your bed and allows for easy switching. 

Electric bassinet

Comforting is even easier with an electric bassinet. In addition to the moving bassinet functions, it often also features various soothing sounds. Everything to help your baby completely relax! 

Hanging bassinet

The trendy hanging bassinet looks great in the bedroom or, for example, the living room. With this bassinet, you can rock and comfort your baby yourself.

Choosing a bassinet mattress

The standard size for a crib mattress is 40 x 80 cm. Some bassinets may have a larger or differently shaped mattress. Once you've determined the size, it's crucial to choose the right mattress material. This is crucial for optimal ventilation in the bassinet. 

A cold foam bassinet mattress provides optimal ventilation and the right level of comfort. The mattress conforms to your baby's body shape and provides the right amount of spring. 

A polyether mattress is one of the most popular baby mattresses. It's often hypoallergenic and very suitable for babies.

Making the bassinet

A bassinet gives your baby a sense of comfort, and the environment is certainly important. You can decorate it with a bassinet blanket, bassinet sheet, or a canopy. A canopy provides a sense of security. 

Did you know you can also use a bassinet blanket in the carrycot of your pushchair? This allows you to use the blankets longer! Once your baby is big enough and you're ready, you can switch from a bassinet to a crib.
